Bulbophyllums "in-situ"

These two Bulbophyllums and a Dendrobium that were found flowering in one of our public parks. They were placed on the trees by the National Parks Board as a form of reintroducing some of the species that once commonly grew here. The three flowering plants are Bulb vaginatum, Bulb medusae and Den leonis. I gathered that these were placed there about a year ago. and here they are happily flowering away. They must be happy with their new homes.

 Bulbophyllum vaginatum.

Bulbophyllum medusae and vaginatum growing side by side with Cymbidium finlaysonianum on the face of a tree trunk.
