Close up view of June 2009 flowers.











"Tom, Dick and Harry" or "Fu Lou Shou" - these three nice plants bloomed about the same time. The centre has very dark colour and pigmentation whereas the left and right flowers are round and with nice tessellations.
Above them are the individual close up view of the flowers that were posted earlier.










Flowering godefroyae/leucochilum - June 2009

A round flower with nice tesellation on creamy base. NS of flower is 73 mm.

A very dark form of leucochilum with dark pigmentation across the dorsal and petals. NS of flower is 74 mm.

Fine lines and pigmentation on creamy base. NS of flower is 63 mm.

An nice round flower with tessellation across the petals. NS of flower is 73 mm.

OSSEA June 2009 Table Display

The monthly meeting of OSSEA was held on 7th June at SBG Visitors Centre. Five plants were brought to the meeting for the table display.
The plants were godefroyae, leucochilum (3 plants) and niveum.


A close up view of the above plant. This leucochilum clone is the 5th from the flask. The NS of the flower is 78 mm across. Flower of this size is considered large. Very nice dark brown pigmentation over the yellow background.

A close view of the best presented plant. This is the 1st clone to flower from the flask. The plant was deflasked 2 years ago. The NS of the cup-shaped flowers are between 45 to 50 mm.
