  1. I like to be a beginner with slipper orchids. We live in a HDB apartment with some bright indirect sun light - reflection at the lobby. What types of slippers should I start off with and where to purchase from?

    Thank you for advice.

  3. Folks,

Thanks for showing the interest in growing slipper orchids.
Like both of you, I am also an apartment dweller. For begginers, I would recommend growing Paph niveum and concolor or its hybrids. You can get them from Song Orchids. If you just need a representative plant, it would not be too expensive. You can get them for between $15 to $30.
You can log into our local forum website http://www.greenculturesg.com. You can find lots of info on orchids posted by beginners and expert growers.

    Happy growing,

    Joseph.
